Founded in 1990, California based jewelry designer Cathy Waterman creates whimsical pieces often reflective of nature.
The leaf bands, thorn details and crescent moon shapes common in Waterman’s collection carry a bohemian vibe that has garnered a loyal fan base of celebrities and tastemakers. Crafted from platinum to 22k gold and a variety of vibrant gemstones, much of what the designer makes can easily be “everyday” jewelry comfortable and casual enough to wear from day to night.
Plenty of her pieces are also bold enough for big events. Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Swift have all donned Waterman’s creations on the red carpet. In 2013 former First Lady Michelle Obama wore a necklace and earrings by Waterman to the Presidential election landing the jewelry a coveted spot inside the Smithsonian Museum.
