After designing for Chaumet and Boucheron, Pierre Sterlé founded his eponymous firm to showcase his innovative jewelry designs. At the height of his popularity during the 1940s and 1950s his well crafted jewelry often used motifs from nature; birds, flowers, leaves and feathers. The firm of Sterlé was purchased by Chaumet in the 1970s.
